About Adrobaa Technical Institute
Adrobaa Technical Institute was established as an integrated community centre for Employable Skills (I.C.C.E.S.) on the 3rd day of November 2015 an agency under the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations (MELR) an initiative of Nana Odiasempa Kwaku Buadu II the Adrobaamanhene and his elders in collaboration with Mr. George Attipoe the Regional coordinator and was given a departmental status in 2020. It then became Department of Integrated Community Centres for Employable Skills (D.I. C.C. E.S.). It is now being realigned to Ghana TVET service under the Ministry of Education.
Adrobaa Technical Institute is a vocational and technical training institution located in Adrobaa, within the Tano North Municipality of the Ahafo Region, Ghana. The school is a public TVET institution formed in the year 2015 by Integrated Community Centre for Employable Skills (ICCES) spearheaded by the Chiefs and stakeholders of the Adrobaa Community. The institute runs three (3) programmes in areas such as Electrical Engineering Technology, Building Construction Technology and Fashion Designing Technology with ICT inclusion thereby providing employable skills to the youth in the community, Ahafo region, Ghana and beyond. Adrobaa Technical institute started as a mixed day school in 2015 but was later approved to run both day and a boarding in the 2025, 2026 academic year. The institute currently operates under the Ghana TVET Service an agency of the Ministry of Education established by the TVET Service Act, 2020 (Act 1049) to manage pre-tertiary technical and vocational education. The institute uses the slogan "Making You Employable... Our Future Is Secure" to highlight its focus on job readiness and industry-driven training. The institute is served by the Techire-Adrobaa road to better connect the town and its educational facilities to the rest of the entire municipality. The institute has become part of a broader surge in technical education in the Ahafo Region.
