About Bechem Technical Institute
Bechem Technical Institute is a technical and vocational institute located in Bechem in the Ahafo Region of Ghana. its main objective is to promote skills development by equipping learners with employable and competence training required by the job market and also promoting entrepreneurship .
Bechem Technical Institute is a public institute located in the Ahafo Region of Ghana.
Its vision is to be a world-class TVET institution dedicated to the development of well rounded, skilled, confident and responsible persons who strive to reach their full potential with equitable opportunity.
Its mission is to encourage academic career technical, and vocational excellence into better equip students to enter and remain competitive in global workforce.
The institution started as the Women's Training Institute in 1966 as a single sex training centre. It transformed to Bechem Community Development Vocational and Technical Institute, a mixed sex institution. After the merging of all TVET institutions under the Ghana TVET Service, the institution was renamed to Bechem Technical Institute in 2022.
The institute is a category B TVET school for both boys and girls. It is free to attend under GTVET. The institute runs 10 technical programs namely Catering& Hospitality, cosmetology, Fashion and Garment design, Engineering (electrical, computer hardware, welding and fabrication, and automotive), Construction (building, wood, plumbing and gas fitting).
The institute is headed by a principal and assisted by two vice principals. It has a student population size larger than 1,000 and a staff strength of 33.

Integrated Science, English Language, Social Studies, Entrepreneurship, ICT, and Mathematics.
