About Manso Amenfi Technical Institute

Manso Amenfi Technical Institute, established October 29, 2021 in Wassa Amenfi Central District, Ghana, offers technical education to 721 students with 26 staff. Equipped with modern facilities, ICT labs, and dormitories, it continues a legacy of vocational excellence training youth.

Manso Amenfi Technical Institute is in the Western Region of Ghana at Wassa Amenfi Central District, off the Manso Amenfi - Asankragwa highway. It was established on the 29th of October 2021. It is situated on 13.92 acres of land.
Manso Amenfi Technical Institute currently has a teaching staff strength of 19 of which 12 are males and 7 are females.
Non-teaching staff are 7, 4 females and 3 males
We have a total student’s population of 721. Form one comprises of 183 boys and 77 girls, form two has 143 boys and 65 girls and form three has 174 boys and 79 girls.
The Institute can boast of the following facilities: an administration block which has an office for the Principal, Assistant Principals, Accounts office, Secretary’s office, library, staff common room, kitchen and washrooms.
There is also a 100 capacity two storey dormitory facility for both boys and girls with modern beds and mattresses. The Institute can also boast of a 11unit classroom block with furniture, an ultra-modern ICT lab well equipped with laptops and desktops.
A well-equipped workshop with modern tools and equipment for all the departments. The Institute has a 33-seater brand new Yutong bus.

HISTORY
Manso Amenfi Technical Institute (MANSTECH) which was formerly Manso Amenfi Vocational Training Institute affectionately called MAVOTRAIN was established on the 29th of October 2021 by Rev. Moses Aidoo the then Centre Manager for Kumasi Vocational a Training Institute (KVTI) and a native of Manso Amenfi. He was supported by the chief of Manso Amenfi, Nana Amoabeng Ababio II, the then Member of Parliament Mr. John Abu, Nana Attah Esuah Unit Committee Chairman, Management of SMS Timber Company and the Amenfi West District Assembly. It was later adopted by the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) on January 1st, 2003.
Manso Amenfi Vocational Training Institute Started in the then Bamboo Factory building with four trades namely, Dressmaking, Catering, Building Construction and General Electricals. Mr Bernard Baidoo Acted as manager before NVTI posted its first Manager Mr. Erasmus Sam.
Mr. Erasmus Sam the first manager of the Institute after the adoption by NVTI created the Motor Vehicle Mechanics Department making the number of trades to be five
