About Prampram Technical Institute
PRAMPRAM TECHNICAL INSTITUTE IS A VISION FIELD INSTITUTE WHICH PLACES MUCH EMPHASIS ON ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE. WE PLACE HIGH PREMIUM ON DISCIPLINE AS IT IS A PRE-REQUISIT FOR MORAL AND ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE.
Prampram Technical Institute was establish by Government in the year 1965 as Rural Training Centre (R.C.T) under the Department of Community Development of the Ministry of Local Government to empower women with Vocational Skills. Subsequently, the name of the school has undergone a number of revolution over the years under the same Department and Ministry. In the 1980s the name was changed to Women Training Institute. Also in the year 2000s, it changed to Community Development Vocational Institute. The realignment of all TVET Institutions under Ghana TVET Service in the year 2020 by Act 1023 and 1049 gave birth to the current name Prampram Technical Institute. Our vision is to be a lead Institution in providing Technical, Vocational and Entrepreneurial Education, formally and semi-formally to bridge developmental gab in the Country. Our mission includes using modern training approach and methodology such as entrepreneurship training general computer skills, Auto CAD Training and competency-based training (CBT) in facilitating education of trainees. To build partnership with industries and also seek to acquire modern infrastructure and equipment for quality skill training.
