Amoafo Technical Institute is a government Institution located in Ashanti-Bekwai, precisely Amoafo. The School came to existence as a result of mainstream schools being attached to the Department of Social Welfare Rehabilitation centers and other adjuncts.
In the year 2002, under the able leadership of Mr. Fred Sakyi Boafo (RTD), the then District Director of Social Welfare, and the Deputy Director in charge of Family Unit of the Department of Social Welfare Head Office, Accra, Amoafo Technical Institute was established to be the mainstream School for the Department of Social Welfare in Amoafo. The year under review marks the twenty-fourth (24th) year of the school’s existence from August, 2002 to date.
The School currently works directly under Ghana TVET Service after government’s confiscation of certain school which Amoafo Technical Institute was privileged to be part of.

Amoafo Technical Institute is dedicated to providing high-quality Technical Education, Training and skills development that prepares students for successful careers and contributes to the socio-economic development of Ghana.
OBJECTIVE:
The prime objectives of the Institute are to:
Implement approved national policies and programmes relating to pre-tertiary technical and vocational education and training.
Ensure 98% retention of learners at all levels.
Obtain 100% pass rate for all examinations.
Ensure students are well equipped with the adequate skills to fit in for the ready job market.
