Location:
Asankare Technical Institute is located in Asankare, a town in the Asante Akyem South District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
History:
Asankare Technical Institute formerly known as the Youth Leadership and Skills Training Institute of Asankare was establish on 20 October 1986 on an abandoned road construction camp site of Messer’s Kasadjan by the effort of Asante Regional Coordinator, the District Secretary, the late Omanhene of Asankare and the late Asantehene Otumfuor Opoku Ware II, to provide Agricultural, Technical and Vocational Education to the youth in and around Asante Akyem. A hundred (100) acres of land was released to the school.
The school has gone through different phases in its quest to make it better and to deliver its mandate of empowering the youth through the acquisition of employable skills. However, the school has now realigned to Ghana TVET service to create a conducive learning environment that fosters academic excellence, character development, and social responsibility among our students.
Asankare Technical Institute has grown into a reputable institution known for equipping students with practical and industry-relevant skills.

Mission:
The mission of Asankare Technical Institute is to provide high-quality ATVET skills and services that are demand-driven and industry-led to persons of all ages and careers, preparing them to be productive citizens contributing to social and economic development through competency-based training, apprenticeship, testing and career-development
Achievements:
The school has gained recognition for its commitment to technical excellence. Many graduates of the institute have gone on to pursue careers in industry, while others have established successful entrepreneurial ventures.

Admission Requirements:
Admission to the school is open to students who have completed Junior High School (JHS) and have passed the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). Prospective students can apply based on their interest in Agriculture, Technical and Vocational Training.

Asankare Technical Institute is affiliated with Ghana's Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) and operates under the supervision of the Ghana TVET Service.
