About Dzodze Technical Institute

Dzodze Technical Institute (DTI) is a premier Ghana Technical and Vocational Education and Training (GTVET) Institution in the Volta Region of Ghana. Dedicated to empowering students through practical, hands-on skills training, the institute specializes in engineering technologies, vocational trades, and modern entrepreneurial development, preparing a diverse student body to drive industrial growth and innovation.

DZODZE TECHNICAL INSTITUTE Dzodze Technical Institute (DTI) is a leading public Technical and Vocational Education and Training institution situated at Dzodze in the Volta Region of Ghana. Established on 14th of January 2019 as a community-based technical and vocational training centre under the Integrated Community Centre for Employable Skills (ICCES) framework.

DTI is dedicated to equipping youth and young professionals with the high-caliber practical skills, technical knowledge, and entrepreneurial mindset required to thrive in a rapidly evolving global economy to combat unemployment and promote self-reliance within the Ketu North Municipality

The institute began with a small enrolment of approximately 10 pioneer students and a dedicated team of facilitators, including Mr. Evans Kwame Afavi, Madam Kabotsoe Beauty, Mr. Jerry Agbomadzi, Madam Maryline Korblah and Mr. Bernard Gborglah. A major turning point occurred in 2022, when the institute was absorbed into Ghana’s public TVET system under the Ghana Technical and Vocational Education and Training (GTVET) framework. This transition strengthened institutional structures and aligned operations with national standards.

Before the takeover, the Municipal Chief Executive at that time Hon. Avorgbedor Anthony Ablorde facilitated the acquisition of approximately eight acres of land and oversaw the construction of a three-unit classroom block and an additional classroom, laying the foundation for future growth.
